This error commonly appears when you:

  • Run an installer you downloaded earlier, not realizing the program is already up to date
  • Try to reinstall Trend Micro after a purchase or renewal
  • Re-use an older installer file from a previous download

What Should I Do?

Option 1: Keep your current installation (recommended)

You do not need to do anything — the latest version is already protecting your computer.

  • Click Close to exit the installer. You're all set! ✅

Option 2: Reinstall Trend Micro Security

If you want to do a fresh reinstall of the same version, follow these steps:
