The Trend Micro Toolbar helps you identify safe websites. It can be added to your browsers easily after installing the Trend Micro program.

How do I install the Trend Micro Toolbar?

Note: The Trend Micro Toolbar is currently available on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. The Mozilla Firefox version is still under development, and we’ll update this guide as soon as it’s ready.

On Google Chrome

  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Click on Install Trend Micro Toolbar if you see a popup.
  3. If no popup appears, click here to go to the Chrome Web Store and then click Add to Chrome.
  4. If it shows 'Remove from Chrome', you already have it installed. Check if it's enabled in your browser settings.

On Microsoft Edge

  1. Visit the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page.

    If you purchased Trend Micro through Best Buy, click here instead.

  2. Click Add Extension and wait for the download to complete.
  3. Read the Privacy & Personal Data Collection Disclosure, then click Continue.
  4. Accept the License Agreement to start using the toolbar.

On Mozilla Firefox

The Trend Micro Toolbar is still under development for Mozilla Firefox.

While we work on bringing it to Mozilla Firefox, you can continue enjoying the Trend Micro Toolbar’s features on Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.

Install Trend Micro Toolbar through the Main Program

  1. Open Trend Micro Main Program Console.
  2. Click Privacy.
  3. Click Configure for Social Networking Protection.
  4. You'll find the browser apps installed on your device. Click install next to the browser where you want to add the Trend Micro Toolbar.

Encountering issues with your toolbar?

  • Ensure the toolbar is enabled in your browser's settings.
  • If you see duplicate icons, restart your browser.

How can I stop receiving notifications for the Trend Micro Toolbar?

  • To stop notifications, look for Don't show this again in the popup options.
  • To remove the toolbar, go to your browser's extension settings and select Remove or Disable.
