Before installing Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac, it's worth taking a moment to confirm your Mac is ready. This guide covers the supported macOS versions and the minimum hardware your Mac needs.


Step 1: Find Your Mac's macOS Version

Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac supports the following operating systems:

  • macOS Tahoe (26.0)
  • macOS Sequoia (15.0)
  • macOS Sonoma (14.0)
  • macOS Ventura (13.0)

Not supported:

  • ❌ macOS Monterey (12.0)
  • ❌ macOS Big Sur (11.0)
  • ❌ macOS Catalina (10.15)
  • ❌ macOS Mojave (10.14)
  • ❌ macOS High Sierra (10.13)
  • ❌ macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier versions

Step 3: Check Your Mac's Hardware

Your Mac also needs to meet these minimum hardware requirements:

  • About 1.5 GB of free storage space
  • At least 2 GB of memory (RAM)
  • A processor of at least 1 GHz
