This issue happens because a third party security app detects Home Network Security is monitoring web traffic on your home network.


Check Device MAC Address

  1. Confirm if the detected MAC Address belongs to your Home Network Security station:
    1. Open your Home Network Security app.
    2. Tap Menu.
    3. Tap Settings.
    4. Tap About.
    5. Take note of the MAC ID of your station.
    6. Compare it to the MAC Address detected by the third party security app.
  2. Once confirmed, continue with the device’s connection.
  3. Add Home Network Security’s MAC address to the Exception List.
