Use these instructions to set up your Huawei HG630b router to enable DHCP mode, which will allow Trend Micro Home Network Security to manage device IP addresses.

Steps to Enable DHCP Mode

  1. Ensure your Home Network Security Station is turned on and connected to your home router.
  2. Launch the Home Network Security app on your mobile device.
  3. Tap the Menu icon, then go to Settings.
  4. Tap Station Configuration.
  5. Under STATION NETWORK SETTINGS, choose DHCP Mode and then select View steps.
  6. Tap Next and follow the on-screen instructions.
  7. On your computer or mobile device, open a web browser like Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox.
  8. Type the Router IP address noted earlier into the address bar and press ENTER.
  9. Log in to the Admin console using your router credentials:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin
  10. In the left menu, select Basic and then choose LAN.
  11. Under DHCP Server, uncheck Enabled, then click Submit.
  12. Restart your router:
    1. Disconnect the power cord from the router and ensure the front panel lights are off.
    2. Wait for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the router.
    3. Wait a minute or two for the router to fully power on.
  13. Open the Home Network Security app and verify if the "Devices Protected" status is displayed.
