Message: Trend Micro Antivirus Already Installed (Antivirus for Mac)

You encountered the following error message when installing Antivirus for Mac:

"Trend Micro Antivirus Already Installed.
Before installing the software from your service provider, you must remove the version of Trend Micro Antivirus already installed on your Mac."
This happens because you still have an old version of Trend Micro Antivirus installed on your Mac computer.
You can do either of the following:
Expand All
Uninstall using the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit

Click the button below to download the Diagnostic Toolkit .zip file.
Download Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.zip
- Double-click the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.zip to unzip or extract the file.
- Once unzipped, double-click the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.app to open the file.

Click Uninstall to proceed.

Copy the serial number and tick the box “I copied my serial number”, then click Uninstall.

Enter your Mac credentials when asked, then click OK.

Wait until the uninstallation is complete. Click OK once the message below appears.

Download the latest installer file on your Mac computer below.
Download Installer
Uninstall using the Uninstall Tool

Click Go from the menu bar, then select Applications.

- Find and open the Trend Micro folder.

Click Uninstall Trend Micro Antivirus.

Click Uninstall to proceed.

Enter you Mac credentials when asked, then click OK.

Wait for the uninstallation to finish.

Click OK once completed.
