You see this error message when signing in to Password Manager Preview Mode:

"Cannot Sign In"

Why Did This Happen?

Password Manager is preventing your data from being deleted. Local data in Preview Mode such as Vault Password, Secure Notes, Saved Passcards, and Personal Details cannot be merged to the cloud data of Password Manager.

If the Trend Micro account being used to sign in to Preview Mode does not have a Vault Password yet, the local data can be merged to cloud data.

What Should I Do Next?

Reinstall Password Manager:

  1. Tap and hold the Password Manager app icon on your device.
  2. Uninstall the Password Manager app:
    • For Android phone or tablet users, tap Uninstall, then choose Uninstall.
    • For iPhone or iPad users, choose Delete App, then choose Delete.
  3. Install Password Manager:
    • Android: Open the Play Store.
    • iPhone/iPad: Open the App Store.
  4. Search for Trend Micro Password Manager.
  5. On the search results:
    • Android: Tap the Install button.
    • iPhone/iPad: Tap the Get button.
  6. Once done, tap Open.
  7. Read the License Agreement, then tap the Accept and Continue button.
  8. Tap Sign In to activate the full features.
