SMS Filter (Includes Smart Filter and Keyword Filter) is the feature to help users block spam or scam or unwanted messages. It includes the below functions:

We will scan the SMS/MMS message which is sent by an unknown sender. If the message includes risk links, spam content, scam content, unwanted keyword or sent from unwanted sender ID, we will move the message to the Junk Folder of Messages.

For SMS Filter, when user receives a new message from an unknown sender, Trend Micro ScamCheck will scan and store the:

• SMS/MMS content (which may include personal and sensitive personal data, URL, phone number, etc)
• Sender ID is mail or phone number

The data will be used to enhance the spam and scam message detection. The collected data is deleted after 6 months.
