How to Set Up Web Guard on Android

  1. Open the Trend Micro Check app.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Web Guard, then tap Stay safe while browsing in Chrome.
  4. At the permission prompt, tap Allow Now.
  5. Go to Installed Services or Downloaded apps, and enable permission for Trend Micro Check.
  6. Once setup is complete, a green check and the word ON will confirm Web Guard is active.

How to Set Up Web Guard on iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Trend Micro Check app.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select Web Guard, then tap Stay safe while browsing in Safari.
  4. Tap Setup Now and then Open settings.
  5. Choose Safari, then Extensions.
  6. Select TM Check and enable Allow Extension.
  7. Under Permissions, choose All Websites and tap Allow.
  8. Return to TM Check, tap Next, then open Safari and ensure TM Check is listed under the AA button.

How to Add Websites to Trusted Lists

Only add websites to your trusted list if you are sure they are safe, as this could expose you to risks.

For Android

To manually add a website:

  1. Under Web Guard, tap Approved Websites.
  2. Tap Add Website, type the website link, and tap Add.

To add from history:

  1. Under Web Guard, tap History.
  2. Tap Edit, select the website, and tap Add Selected to Approved Websites.

For iOS Devices

  1. On the detection prompt, tap I know the risks and want to stay.
  2. Check the box to add the website to the Trusted Website list, then tap Stay on Website.
  3. Return to Web Guard, and tap on Trusted Websites to see your list.
