How to install and activate WiFi Protection

Learn how to set up WiFi Protection included in your Trend Micro Security Suite subscription. Watch this installation tutorial or follow the step-by-step instructions in this article:

1. Go to Trend Micro Account.

   Sign in to your Trend Micro account via your mobile device if you are installing Trend Micro WiFi Protection on iPad/iPhone or on Android.

2. Type the email address and password you created upon the purchase.
3. Look for Trend Micro WiFi Protection, then click Download.

   

4. Select the device where you want to download the software.

   

   For Windows PC

   1. Select Windows.
   2. Select how you want to download WiFi Protection:
      • Send Email - send the download link to your email
      • Copy Link - copy the download link, then access it using a web browser
      • Download - download the installer directly
   3. Choose Download to download the installer directly or Send Email to send the download link to your email.
   4. Within the Microsoft Store, tap Get, then tap Install to download the WiFi Protection app.
   5. Once downloaded, tap Open and follow the steps within the app to install and allow the VPN certificate.
   6. Click the gear icon to open Settings.
   7. Click Setup Account.
   8. Sign in using your Trend Micro account.
   9. Use Available Subscription window will appear. Click Yes.
   10. Click Select beside the Not Yet Installed device name, to reserve a set for your device.

   For Mac

   1. Select Mac.
   2. Select how you want to download WiFi Protection:
      • Send Email - send the download link to your email
      • Copy Link - copy the download link, then access it using a web browser
      • Download - download the installer directly
   3. Choose Download to download the installer directly or Send Email to send the download link to your email.
   4. Within the App Store, tap Get, then tap Install to download the WiFi Protection app.
   5. Once downloaded, tap Open and follow the steps within the app to install and allow the VPN certificate.
   6. Click the gear icon to open Settings.
   7. Click Setup Account.
   8. Sign in using your Trend Micro account.
   9. Use Available Subscription window will appear. Click Yes.
   10. Click Select beside the Not Yet Installed device name, to reserve a set for your device.

   For iPhone/iPad

   1. Select iOS.

      You will be redirected to the App Store (iOS) to download the WiFi Protection App.

   2. Within the App Store, tap Get and then tap Install.
   3. Open the WiFi Protection App, and then tap Accept to agree to the app permissions.
   4. Wait for the installation to finish.
   5. Sign into your Trend Micro Account that was created on purchase to activate Trend Micro WiFi Protection.

   For Android phone/tablet

   1. Select Android.

      You will be redirected to the Google Play Store to download the WiFi Protection App.

   2. Within the Google Play Store, tap Install.
   3. Open the WiFi Protection App, and then tap Accept to agree to the app permissions.
   4. Wait for the installation to finish.
   5. Sign into your Trend Micro Account that was created on purchase to activate Trend Micro WiFi Protection.

• Mac: macOS 10.12 (64-bit) and above
• Android phone/tablet: Android OS 5.0 and above
• iPhone/iPad: iOS (64-bit) 9.0 and above
