Why did this happen?
Trend Micro Antivirus needs System Extension to provide complete protection for your Mac.
How do I fix this?
Allow the Trend Micro Antivirus Extension depending on what macOS version you have:
Expand All
For macOS 13 Ventura
Allow Trend Micro Antivirus Extension on macOS Ventura
- Click Open System Settings.

- The Privacy & Security window should open. Scroll down to Security then click Details....

- Enter your Mac username and password, and then click Unlock to allow changes.
- Enable all Trend Micro Antivirus Extension items, then click OK.

- Click Allow when you see this pop up below.

For macOS 12 Monterey and below
Allow Trend Micro Antivirus Extension on macOS Monterey and below
- Click OK on the pop up.
- Click Continue in the Permission Overview page.
- Click Open System Preferences.

- Unlock the page.

- Click the Allow button.

- Select all Placeholder Developer, and then click OK.

- Click Allow when you see this popup below.

- You will find that the page has changed, click the Continue button.
- Click the Open System Preferences button.
- Unlock the page if it is locked.
- Select Full Disk Access, and then tick Trend Micro Antivirus and Trend Micro Antivirus Extension.
Make sure to select both Trend Micro Antivirus and Trend Micro Antivirus Extension.

- Click Verify to validate the necessary permissions.
