Uninstallation Guide for Trend Micro Security Suite products

Trend Micro Security for Windows

1. Open Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
   • For Windows 10:
     1. Click Start > All Apps > Trend Micro Security > Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
   • For Windows 8.1:
     1. On your keyboard, press the Windows + C keys to open the Charms bar.
     2. Click Search.
     3. On the Search box, type Trend.
     4. Click Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
   • For Windows 7:
     1. Go to Start > All Programs > Trend Micro Security > More Tools and Help > Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit
2. Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.
3. Click the (C) Uninstall tab.

   

4. Click 1. Uninstall Software.

   You may disregard the Windows notification saying to use the Control Panel to remove the program.
   Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will remove all Trend Micro related files from your computer which the Control Panel might have missed.

   

5. Click Yes when asked to confirm the uninstallation.

   

6. Copy your serial number.
7. Tick I copied my serial number, then click Uninstall.

   

8. Click Yes when asked to restart your computer.

Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac

1. Open Spotlight search box, then type "Trend Micro".
2. Select Trend Micro Antivirus Diagnostic Toolkit.

   

   Enter your Mac credential when necessary.

   

3. Click Uninstall.

   

Trend Micro Security for Chromebooks

1. Open the Google Chrome web browser.
2. Click the Chrome Menu on the browser toolbar.
3. Select More tools.
4. Select Extensions.

   

5. Look for the Trend Micro Security Extension and then click the Remove button.

Trend Micro Mobile Security for Android

1. On your mobile device, open Mobile Security.
2. Tap located at the upper right of the screen.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Uninstall.
5. Enter your password to continue the uninstallation.

   You will not be prompted for a password if you did not activate the Full Remote Wipe in Lost Device Protection.

6. Tap OK to finish.

Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS

1. Touch and hold the Mobile Security app on the Home screen until the icon jiggles.
2. Tap X to delete the app.
3. Press the Home button.

Trend Micro WiFi Protection on Android

1. Open your device Settings.
2. Tap Apps or Applications.
3. Tap All, then tap Trend Micro WiFi Protection.
4. Tap Uninstall.
5. Tap OK.
6. Wait for the uninstallation to finish, then tap OK.

Trend Micro WiFi Protection on iOS

1. Touch and hold the Trend Micro WiFi Protection app on the Home screen until the icon jiggles.
2. Tap X to delete the app.
3. Press the Home button.

Trend Micro WiFi Protection on Windows PC

1. Click the Windows home button.
2. Search for Trend Micro WiFi Protection.
3. Right-click on the result and select Uninstall.
4. Wait for the program to be uninstalled successfully.

Trend Micro WiFi Protection on Mac

1. Click Go-To > Applications.
2. Search for Trend Micro WiFi Protection.
3. Drag Trend Micro WiFi Protection to the trash.

Trend Micro ID Security on Android

1. Open your device Settings.
2. Tap Applications or Apps.
3. Tap the All tab, then tap ID Security.
4. Tap Uninstall.
5. Tap OK.
6. Wait for the uninstallation to finish, then tap OK.

Trend Micro ID Security on iOS

1. Touch and hold the ID Security app on the Home screen to open a Quick Actions menu.
2. Tap Remove App.
3. Tap Delete App, then tap Delete on the confirmation message.

Trend Micro Password Manager on Windows

1. On your keyboard, press the Windows + R keys.
2. In the Open field, type "appwiz.cpl", then press ENTER. The Programs and Features window will open.
3. Select Trend Micro Password Manager, then click Remove or Uninstall.
4. Wait for the program to be uninstalled, then restart your computer when asked.

Trend Micro Password Manager on Mac

1. Type Password Manager on Spotlight search.
2. Click Password Manager Uninstaller from the list.
3. Click Yes to complete the uninstallation.

Trend Micro Password Manager on Android

1. Navigate to your device's Settings. On most phones, pull down the notification bar and tap Settings.
2. Tap Apps or Application Manager (this differs depending on device).
3. Go to Downloaded or All Apps list.
4. Tap Password Manager then tap Uninstall.
5. Wait until the uninstallation completes, then tap OK.

Trend Micro Password Manager on iOS

1. Touch and hold the Password Manager app icon on the Home screen until the icon jiggles.
2. Tap X, then tap Delete to confirm app deletion.
3. Press the Home button.

Password Manager

Before you uninstall Password Manager, we recommend to export your saved passwords and data.

Password Manager can only store 5 passwords in the free version.

Maximum Security

Before you uninstall Maximum Security, we recommend to transfer the file you stored in the Trend Micro Vault.

The Trend Micro Vault folder will become an unsecure folder once Maximum Security is uninstalled.
