Search Tools Hub is a hijacker that changes your homepage to find.searchtoolshub.com and shows many ads. It can also slow down your Mac. Follow these steps to remove it completely.

Remove Suspicious Login Items

  1. Open System Preferences and go to Users & Groups.
  2. Select your profile and click on the Login Items tab.
  3. Look for any unknown apps and click the minus (-) button to disable them.
  4. Restart your Mac.

Delete Malicious Profiles

  1. Open System Preferences and go to Profiles.
  2. If there are any profiles you did not set up, select them and click the minus (-) button to remove them.

  1. Open Safari and go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy.
  2. Click Manage Website Data... and then Remove All.

Chrome

  1. Open Chrome and go to Chrome > Preferences > Search engine.
  2. Select Manage search engines and site search.
  3. Choose a default search engine and remove any unfamiliar ones.

Firefox

  1. Open Firefox and go to Firefox > Preferences > Search.
  2. Select your preferred search engine under Default Search Engine.
