Resetting your iPhone erases all your data, including your apps, saved files, passwords, and other settings. Good thing iPhone has iCloud storage, which allows you to restore these deleted items onto your device. Here's how to do it:
- Turn on your iPhone. You should see a Hello screen.
NOTE: The option to restore from Backup is only available after you reset your device to factory settings.
- Follow the onscreen instructions until you reach the Apps & Data screen. Tap Restore from iCloud Backup.
- Sign in to iCloud using your Apple ID.
- Choose from the list of backups. After choosing, the transfer will start automatically.
- When prompted, provide your Apple ID to recover your purchases and apps.
- Make sure to connect to a strong WiFi connection. Wait for the progress bar to complete.
- You can continue setting up your iPhone while it continues to restore your files like your apps, music, and photos.
