You see this error while installing Password Manager on Windows:

"Installation Stopped. You had installed Password Manager already."

Installation Stopped. You had installed Password Manager already.

Why did this happen?

Trend Micro Password Manager is not properly installed due to corrupted remnants of the installed program.

What should I do next?

Check if Password Manager is already installed:

  1. Click the Start , then go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features. You can also access it via the shortcut button below:

  2. Look for Trend Micro Password Manager, then click Open.

No need to further install if you can open the app without any issues.

Password Manager is not on the list of installed apps

Remove any remnants of the old Trend Micro Password Manager installation:

  1. Press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard to open the Run window.
  2. In the Open field, type %programdata%, then click OK.
  3. Delete these folders:
    • TMDP_Logs
    • TMDP_Setup
    • TMDP_Tower_Setup
  4. Open Run again, then type %programfiles% and click OK.
  5. Click on the Trend Micro Folder and delete the Password Manager folder.
  6. Restart your computer.
  7. Download and install Password Manager.
