What is ID Theft Coverage?

ID Theft Coverage is an identity protection service available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day with the following features:

• ID Theft Restoration^[1]: Access to certified Resolution Specialists who will provide personal guidance if you’re the victim of identity theft.
• Up to $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance^[1][2][3]: Covers out-of-pocket expenses if you become a victim of identity theft or fraud.

How do I get ID Theft Coverage?

To be eligible for ID Theft Coverage, you must have an active subscription to one of the following products:

• Trend Micro Premium Security Suite
• Trend Micro ID Protection Plus
• Trend Micro Internet Security PLUS ID Theft Coverage
• Trend Micro Antivirus+ Security PLUS ID Theft Coverage

• ID Theft Coverage is not available in any other country or Trend Micro product at this time.

I have an active Trend Micro Premium Security Suite Subscription. Do I need to pay more?

You don’t need to pay anything extra for the new ID Theft Coverage. It’s automatically included in all current Trend Micro Premium Security Suite subscriptions throughout your subscription period.

I want to use my ID Theft Coverage. How do I start?

1. Before contacting our experts, verify if you require the ID Theft Restoration^[1] service or Up to $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance^[1][2][3].

When Should I Use ID Theft Restoration^[1] service?

If you are the victim of identity theft, or you believe you may be vulnerable to identity theft, one of our trained experts can provide you any of the services below:

• Multilingual Support: We will provide support in English, Spanish and French through our 24/7 call center located in the US.
• Identity Theft Affidavit Assistance and Submission: We will provide you with an Identity Theft affidavit, used to dispute any fraudulent claims or activity. After assisting with its completion, we will submit it to the authorities, credit bureaus and creditors on your behalf.
• Creditor Notification, Dispute and Follow-Up: We will contact your creditors’ fraud departments to dispute each fraudulent occurrence, continue to follow up until each matter is properly handled, and notify you throughout the process with a weekly status report. If a Canadian entity requires speaking to you directly, we will guide you through the process.
• Inform Police/Legal Authorities: We will assist you in reporting the fraudulent activity to the local authorities and will forward a report of the fraudulent activity to creditors.
• Credit Freeze Assistance: If you need to block suspicious activity occurring on your account, we will assist you with placing a credit freeze on your credit record(s) with the credit reporting agencies in accordance with state or local laws.
• Lost Wallet Assistance: We will notify the appropriate bank or agency to assist you in canceling or replacing stolen or missing items such as credit/debit card, driver’s license, Social Security card, or passport.
• Online Fraud Alert Placement: If your identity is at risk, you may place a 1-year fraud alert on your credit file. Fraud alerts notify lenders to contact you before issuing new credit, making it more difficult for thieves to open new accounts in your name without your knowledge. We will assist with placing a fraud alert on your records at the three major credit bureaus (except for Canada which has only two major credit bureaus) to add a layer of protection from fraudulent activity.
• Medical Identity Theft Assistance: In the event you become the victim of medical identity theft, we will provide help with fraudulent medical claims placed in your name and medical care that was received fraudulently by another individual in your name. We will help you ensure that healthcare, insurance claims and medical records are corrected, and we will involve our in-house medical staff if necessary.
• Translation Services: If you are abroad, we will help you communicate with the local authorities, including filing an identity theft incident report. It will be your responsibility to pay for any cost associated with the translation services.
• Emergency Cash and Travel Arrangements: If you experience identity theft more than 100 miles from your primary place of residence, we will provide you an emergency cash advance of up to $500 and assist with emergency travel arrangements, including airline, hotel, and car rental reservations. All costs associated with this Service will be your responsibility. These Services must be secured by a valid credit card. Any advance made to you, not otherwise secured by a valid credit card, and paid to us by the credit card company within 30 days of such advance, must be reimbursed by you to us within 45 days from the date such advance is made. Thereafter any amount due will accrue interest at a rate of 1.5% per month. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, we shall be under no obligation to advance funds not otherwise secured by a valid credit card.

When Should I Use Up to $1 Million Identity Fraud Insurance^[1][2][3]?

If you become a victim of identity theft or fraud, our up to $1 million identity fraud insurance covers out of pocket expenses, professional service fees associated with identity restoration, and unauthorized electronic fund transfer reimbursement for checking & savings accounts, investment accounts, and health spending/savings accounts.

The Identity Expense Reimbursement and the Unauthorized Electronic Fund Transfer Reimbursement benefits are underwritten and administered by American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, an Assurant company, under group or blanket policies issued to Generali Global Assistance, Inc., dba Iris® Powered by Generali for the benefit of its Members.
