After updating Trend Micro Security to version 17.7.1913, some websites may automatically open in the secure browser even if they aren't on your Pay Guard list.
Why did this happen?
Some files did not upload successfully after a version release, causing important Trend Micro components to remain outdated.
How do I fix this?
Trend Micro has already released program updates to resolve this issue. If you see a Restart Required pop-up from Trend Micro, click Restart Now to install the updates.
You can also download the update manually by following these steps:
- Right-click the Trend Micro icon
in the taskbar notification area, then select Check for Program Updates.
If you cannot see it, click the Show hidden icons arrow ^ next to the notification area.
The About Your Software window will appear and check for available updates.
- Click Close after seeing Components are up-to-date.
Note: The version will remain 17.7.1913 after the update.
