You see this error message when installing the Trend Micro program on Windows:
Installation Incomplete. Error Code #0, 1002, 0x00000000Why did this happen?
- The installer should uninstall any conflicting third-party security software.
- A conflicting software was not completely removed.
What should I do next?:
- Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.
- Type "appwiz.cpl" (without quotes) in the Run dialog box.
- Press Enter or click OK button.
- Click the third-party security software, then select Uninstall.
- Kindly carefully review and comply with the on-screen instructions.
- Restart computer.
- Please click on the Trend Micro installer once more to proceed with the installation.
