How to Create a Zip File with a Password

Creating a password-protected zip file is essential when customers want to safely send us a suspicious file. It locks the file, so only our experts can examine it, ensuring it won't harm anyone else.

Here are the steps to create a password-protected zip file:

1. Select the files you want to compress and right-click on them. Then, select 7-Zip and click on Add to archive.
2. In the Add to Archive window, select zip as the archive format.
3. Enter a name for the zip file and select a location to save it.
4. In the Encryption section, enter a password: virus for the zip file.
5. Click on OK.
