You see this error message when you are trying to update the Trend Micro Antivirus One app:

"Cannot update because the extensions of Antivirus One are in use by Safari."

Why did this happen?

  • Your Safari browser is not properly closed in your device.
  • What should I do?

    1. Check if there's a small-dot below the Safari browser icon.

      Fully close the browser

      If there's a small dot, it means that it is still running in the background.
    2. Right-click on the Safari browser icon, then click Quit.
    3. Try to update Antivirus One app again.
