End of Support for Trend Micro Family

Trend Micro Family app is no longer available on Google Play Store and App Store since January 31, 2024.

What is Trend Micro Family?

Trend Micro Family helps parents protect their children online. It uses real-time AI technology to filter inappropriate content and notify parents if there are activities that require extra attention, like using search engines, checking news feeds in social media, or watching video content.

There are two applications for Trend Micro Family. One is installed on the parent mobile device; the Trend Micro Family app. The other one is installed on the child device; the Safe Filter for Kids browser extension or the Trend Micro Family for Kids mobile app.

What happens after the End of Support date?

Trend Micro Family will no longer receive updates on devices it was installed and will be advised to remove the app.

How to remove Trend Micro Family app?

On Android:

1. Open Trend Micro Family app.
2. Select the correct child profile and click Device.
3. Select the correct device and click Remove.
4. Go back to the Trend Micro Family home page.
5. Click How to remove this app.
6. Click Remove and the app will be removed from the child's device.

On iPhone or iPad:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Click Screen Time.
3. Click on Content and Privacy Restrictions.
4. Click the switch to enable content and privacy restrictions, and click iTunes and App Store Purchase.
5. Click Delete app.
6. Select Allow.
7. Go back to the home screen and long press Trend Micro Family app then click Remove App.
8. On the next on-screen prompt, click Delete App.
9. Then click Delete.

What to do if Trend Micro Family app has been removed first and Trend Micro Family for Kids cannot be removed from the child's Android device?

1. Open Trend Micro Family for Kids.
2. Click How to remove this app.
3. Click Remove.
