This article provides important updates about the end of the Trend Micro ID Security service.
We are introducing Trend Micro ID Protection as its replacement to give users stronger and more complete identity protection.
What is ID Security?
ID Security helps you monitor your personal data on the dark web. It alerts you if any of your leaked personal data is being sold or shared by cybercriminals.
When Will the Service End?
The ID Security service will officially end on November 16, 2025.
What Happens After ID Security Service Ends?
After the service ends, ID Security will no longer be available. You will not be able to use any features, such as the app for checking emails and passwords for leaked personal data. Your app will also stop receiving updates and support.
Important:
Beginning October 16, 2025, in-app (monthly) ID Security subscriptions will be discontinued and automatically canceled. This means:
- You will no longer be charged for the monthly subscription.
- Your access to the ID Security app and data will end once the subscription is canceled.
- To continue monitoring your personal data, please migrate to Trend Micro ID Protection before November 16, 2025.
For your privacy and security, monitored items from Trend Micro ID Security won’t transfer automatically. After logging in to Trend Micro ID Protection, please add your monitored items again to keep your protection up to date.
Why Are You Discontinuing ID Security?
We are enhancing our identity protection services. Trend Micro ID Protection includes all the features of ID Security plus new tools for password management, Wi-Fi safety checks, and online identity monitoring.
Alternative Solution
We recommend switching to Trend Micro ID Protection to continue managing and protecting your online identity after ID Security ends.
Existing ID Security users can easily migrate to ID Protection and keep their personal information safe without interruption.
How Can I Get Trend Micro ID Protection?
If you have one of the following subscriptions, Trend Micro ID Protection is included at no extra cost:
- Premium Security Suite
- Personal Protection Suite
- Security Suite Ultimate
- Security Suite Pro Plus
- Security Suite Pro
If you don’t have one of these, you may need to purchase Trend Micro ID Protection separately.
