Scam Check is a helpful tool on your Trend Micro Toolbar that keeps you safe online. It checks things like phone numbers, links or URLs, emails, and screenshots to help you know if something might be a scam. It’s like having a smart helper that looks out for you and helps you make safer choices.

✅ How to Use Scam Check

Using Scam Check is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Open Scam Check

1. Click Scam Check on your Trend Micro Toolbar.

   

2. Tap OK to agree to the Global Privacy Notice. This helps protect your information.

   

Step 2: Choose How You Want to Use Scam Check

📷 Check Using an Image

1. Tap the Image icon.
2. Select the screenshot you want to check.
3. Submit it for analysis.

This option is helpful if you received a message, email, or image that you are unsure about.

💬 Via Default Prompts

1. Select the appropriate prompt in the app.
   • "I want to check a screenshot for scams"
   • "Is this link or phone number safe?"
   • “Am I being scammed?”
2. Copy and paste the information into the text box.
3. Tap the arrow to submit.

⌨️ Through Typing Manually

1. Type the phone number, link, or message directly into the app.
2. Enter the details in the text box.
3. Submit it for analysis.

1. Press Windows key + Shift + S on your keyboard at the same time.
2. Your screen will dim, and a small menu will appear.
3. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.
4. The screenshot will be saved automatically.
5. Go to Pictures → Screenshots to find your image.
