How to Scan Your Apps
- Open Trend Micro ScamCheck and go to Scam Protection.
- Under Additional Protection, tap Device Security Scan.
- Tap Scan Now to analyze all your installed apps.
- The scan will check for:
- Dangerous Apps: Malicious or scam apps.
- Potentially Unwanted Apps: Fake alerts, excessive ads.
- Privacy Risk Apps: Apps that invade your privacy.
- Once the scan is complete, review the results showing the total number of apps checked and any threats found.
- Tap Details on any flagged app to see why it was flagged.
- Tap Uninstall to remove the app or Trust this app if you recognize it.
How to Customize Your Scan Settings

How to Trust an App
If you recognize an app that was flagged but want to keep it, follow these steps:
- From the scan results, tap Details on the app.
- Review the app’s information and why it was flagged.
- Tap Trust this app at the bottom.
- Confirm by tapping Add to Trusted Apps.
- The app will now be whitelisted and won’t appear in future scans.
How to Manage Your Trusted Apps
- In Device Security Scan, go to Manage Lists → Trusted Apps.
- View all apps you’ve marked as trusted, along with their trust date and time.
- Tap Edit to make changes.
- Select apps and tap Remove from Trusted Apps to remove them from your whitelist.
- Removed apps will be scanned again in future scans.
