How do I prepare the file for submission?
- Select the files you suspect, right-click, and choose 7-Zip > Add to archive.
- Set the archive format to zip, name your file, and choose a save location.
- In the Encryption section, set the password to virus and click OK.
Where do I submit the file?
- Visit the Trend Micro Submit a Support Case Center.
- Select Something else under 'I need help with'.
- Choose your product under 'Product Name'.
- Under 'Subject' and 'What's going on', describe your concern about the potential false positive.
- Attach the file by uploading it in the designated box.
- Enter your details.
- Click Agree and Continue.
- You will receive a confirmation message with your Ticket Number.
What should I do after submitting?
Check your email for a response from Trend Micro within 24-48 hours. Remember to check your spam or junk folder if you don't see it in your inbox.
