coreServiceShell.exe is the main process of your Trend Micro program.
Functions
- Interface with the operating system's Service Control Manager (SCM)
- Receives various service requests such as start service or service status request
- Loads the Trend Micro software's core modules and plugins
- Serves as the entry point for the whole software framework
- Manages your Trend Micro software
When your Trend Micro program is running, you can see it when you go to the Processes tab in Task Manager.
How much memory it uses
The coreServiceShell.exe takes up 40 MB to 200 MB of memory in a normal computer state or environment. If the consumed memory is higher than 200 MB and does not go back to normal for about 5 to 10 minutes, upgrade your program to its latest version.
