You see this error message when you open Mobile Security on your Android phone or tablet:

"Try restoring the factory settings of this device to fix the problem"

Why did this happen?

Your mobile device may be rooted or has corrupted system files.

What should I do next?

IMPORTANT: A factory reset erases all your data from your device. Backup all of them first before performing a factory reset.

  1. Back up the data on your Android device.
  2. Restore your device to its original factory settings.
