You see this error message when you try to update Mobile Security on your Android phone or tablet:

"Update unsuccessful"

Why did this happen?

  • Your mobile device may have unstable Internet connection.
  • Some Mobile Security files are corrupted.

What should I do next?

Check your Internet connection and remove the corrupted files:

  1. Check if your Internet connection is stable.
    • Move to a place with a good network connection, then try again.
    • Connect to another network connection, then try again.
    • Switch from Mobile Data to Wi-Fi or vice versa.
  2. Open your mobile device Settings.
  3. Scroll down, then tap Apps (or Applications, depending on your device).
  4. Tap Manage apps.
  5. From the list of apps, choose Mobile Security.
  6. Tap Clear data, then choose Clear cache.
  7. Try to update Mobile Security again.
