How to Scan for Malware on Windows
- Check if your computer is running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows.
- To do this, right-click Computer or This PC on the desktop or in File Explorer, then select Properties. Look for the "System type" entry.
- Download HouseCall for your Windows version:
- For 32-bit computers: Download HouseCall 32-bit
- For 64-bit computers: Download HouseCall 64-bit
- Run the downloaded file and wait for HouseCall to download the necessary components.
- Read and accept the license agreement, then select Next.
- Select Scan Now.
- Wait for the scan to finish. A summary of detected threats and actions taken will be displayed.
How to Scan for Malware on Mac
- Download HouseCall for Mac.
- Open the downloaded Housecall.dmg file.
- Drag the HouseCall file to the Applications folder.
- Open the HouseCall application from the Applications folder.
- Select Open if a warning window appears and wait for the initialization process to complete.
- Read and accept the End User License Agreement, then select I agree.
- Select Scan Now and wait for the scan to finish.
