You may need to change your serial number for various reasons, including upgrading to a paid version or replacing an already expired license with a new one.

1. Activate Your New Subscription

Follow these steps to activate your new Trend Micro subscription.

  1. Go to the Activation Portal.
  2. Below the Get Started button, click Or sign in to your Trend Micro Account link.
  3. Sign in with your email address or phone number, then click Next.
  4. Type your secure password, then click Next.
  5. Enter your activation code, then check I have read and agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement. Click Next to proceed.
  6. Once done, sign out of your account and DO NOT proceed with the download.

2. Change Trend Micro App Serial Number

If you need to change the serial number in your Trend Micro Mobile Security app, follow these steps.

  1. Open the Trend Micro Mobile Security app on your device.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu icon (⋮).
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Navigate to Trend Micro Account > Account Control > Sign Out.
  5. When prompted with Authentication Required, tap Continue.
  6. Enter your password, then tap Sign Out. Note: Signing out will close the Mobile Security app.
  7. Open the Mobile Security app again.
  8. Tap Sign in to Use Your Current Subscription when prompted with Feeling Curious?.
  9. Sign in with your Trend Micro Account credentials.
  10. Tap Next when prompted with Use Available Subscription.
  11. Select the license you want to use, then tap Use this subscription.
    You’re all set!

Having trouble activating?

Your app might still be accessing old local data. Try to uninstall it first, then install it and activate your subscription again by signing back in.
