How to configure Profile Settings (Home Network Security)

Know how to configure profile settings on your Home Network Security App.

Add a Profile

1. On your mobile device, open your Home Network Security app.
2. Tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Family, then tap Add Someone.
4. Provide the Profile name, then Next.
5. Select a Profile picture from the list, then tap Next.
6. Select the devices you like to include on the Profile, then tap Done.

Access Profile Settings

1. On your mobile device, open your Home Network Security App.
2. Tap the Menu icon.
3. Tap Family.
4. Choose a profile.
5. Tap Parental Controls.

Change Profile Name

1. Tap the arrow icon beside the current name.
2. Type the new name of the Profile.
3. Tap the arrow icon located at the upper left corner to save the changes.

Configure Website Filtering

1. Tap Filtering.
2. Under WEBSITE category:
   • Turn ON Get Notifications to receive a notification whenever any device on your selected profile visits a website that falls under one of the selected website categories.
   • Turn ON Block to block access to the selected websites whenever any device on your selected profile visits it.
3. Tick the Website Categories you want to block.
   • Adult or Sexual
   • Personals or Dating
   • Criminal or Questionable
   • Illegal Drugs

   Tap the Information icon to know more about the website categories.

4. Configure the Exception List. You can set exceptions to allow specific websites to be accessed or blocked.
5. Tap Set Exceptions to configure the following:
   • Allowed List:
     1. Tap Allowed List.
     2. Tap Add a new website.
     3. Type the exact website address.
     4. Tap Done to save.
   • Denied List:
     1. Tap Denied List.
     2. Tap Add a new website.
     3. Type the exact website address.
     4. Tap Done to save.

Configure Content Filtering

1. Tap Filtering.
2. Under WEBSITE category:
   • Turn ON Google SafeSearch to filter explicit search results.
   • Turn ON YouTube Restricted Modeto filter mature contents.

     After enabling/disabling YouTube Restricted Mode, you need to wait for 5 minutes for it to take effect.

Configure Inappropriate App Used

1. Turn ON Get Notifications to receive a notification whenever any device on your selected profile opens an app that falls under one of the selected app categories.
2. Select types of the app under the App Category.

   Tap the Information icon to know more about the website categories.

3. Tap the arrow icon located at the upper left corner to save the changes.

Configure Time Limits

This feature allows you to limit the Internet usage:

1. To add a rule, tap Add new rule.
2. Select your preferred days, then tap Next.
3. Set the number of hours of allowed Internet access and enable the notification, then click Next.
4. Set the time period of allowed access to the Internet.
5. Toggle the switch to ON for the Notifications.
6. Toggle the switch to ON for Block Internet Access to block Internet access when used outside the time period.
7. Tap Done.

Check if device is connected at home

Turn ON this option to receive a notification whenever a device on a profile connects to your home network between 12 PM and 10 PM.

1. If you are configuring the setting for the first time, tap on Set Up Now. Otherwise, tap the arrow beside Connected at Home.
2. Toggle the switch to ON to enable the notifications.
3. You can select which devices to monitor by ticking the boxes beside the device names.

Remove a Profile

Remove This Person: This option will delete the selected Profile. after removing the Profile, all devices under this profile will become unassigned.
