This error usually appears if a folder previously secured by Folder Shield was deleted or moved. It's a reminder to ensure your important folders are still protected against threats like ransomware.

How can I fix this?

Follow these steps to re-activate Folder Shield and keep your files safe:

  1. Click Set Up Now.
  2. Click OK when you see the message, "Please Protect Your Folder Again".
  3. Click Manage Folders, then select the folder you wish to protect.
  4. Click OK to apply the changes and secure your folder.

What if the problem continues?

  1. Open Trend Micro.
  2. Navigate to the Data tab.
  3. Click Configure beside Folder Shield.
  4. Click OK when you see the message “Please Protect Your Folder Again”.
  5. Click Manage Folders' and select the folder you wish to protect.
