Learn the different VPN modes available in Trend Micro VPN Proxy One Pro and how to use them with ease.
Automatic VPN
This mode will automatically turn ON Trend Micro protection when you connect to an unsecured Wi-Fi. We recommend this setting for individuals who usually use Wi-Fis in coffee shops, airports, and other public places.
- Open the Trend Micro VPN Proxy One Pro app.
- Tap Settings, then toggle the switch to ON for Automatically turn on VPN when detecting Wi-Fi Security issues.
VPN Always ON
This mode will automatically turn ON Trend Micro protection only for Wi-Fis listed under VPN Always On network list.
To add Wi-Fi:
- Connect to the Wi-Fi network you wish to add.
- Once connected, open the Trend Micro app.
- Tap Settings, then choose VPN Always ON.
VPN Server Location
The Trend Micro app lets you switch to different servers. From the main screen, choose your preferred location:
- Australia
- Canada (Toronto and Montreal)
- France
- Germany
- Israel
- Italy
- Japan
- Netherlands
- New Zealand
- Saudi Arabia
- South Africa
- Switzerland
- Singapore
- Taiwan
- United Arab Emirates
- United Kingdom (London and Newport)

Disabling Trend Micro VPN Proxy One on Your Device
Disabling your Trend Micro VPN Proxy may leave your device vulnerable to security threats. It is generally not recommended to disable your VPN, as it helps protect your online privacy and data integrity. However, if you need to temporarily turn off your Trend Micro VPN Proxy for some reason, here are the steps:
- Open the Trend Micro VPN Proxy application on your device.
- From the main console, if you see the power button highlighted in green and showing Connected, it means your VPN is activated. Press the power button to turn it off.
- If the color of the power button turns grey and shows Disconnected, your VPN Proxy is now disabled.
Note:If your Trend Micro VPN Proxy setting was configured to turn on automatically, Trend Micro VPN Proxy will automatically activate once you restart your computer. Otherwise, you can manually click the power button to turn it back on again.
