Trend Micro Parenting App Data Collection Notice

After the parent’s app and kid’s app are paired and the kid’s app grants location service permission, the kid’s app starts to transmit the location to Trend Micro until the kid’s app is removed.

If location service permission is denied, the kid’s location function will work improperly.

A kid’s nickname is required to create a profile.

The nickname is needed to display the kid’s profile and related data.

When the kid’s app is installed and paired with the parent’s app, the website browsing history will be transmitted.

Videos watched by using YouTube Viewer on the kid’s app will be logged. The kid’s app also transmits the kid’s location periodically.

Data transmission will stop when the kid’s app is removed.

After the parent’s app is installed, the app generates a parent’s device ID and transmits it to Trend Micro.

After the kid’s app is installed and paired, the kid’s device ID is generated and transmitted to Trend Micro.

The data collected in “Report Issue” helps Trend Micro Tech Support troubleshoot. The data won’t be used for anything other than this purpose.

When the kid unlocks his/her mobile device, the kid’s app starts to track the mobile usage time.

The kid’s app reports the usage time back to Trend Micro, so the parent’s app can display the kid’s mobile usage time.

The kid’s app stops this function when the kid’s app is removed.

This feature is to help parents has visibility of how their child using mobile.

• The count of usage time over 30 minutes
• The count of unlock mobile device
• The count of using mobile phone during defined bed time
• The count of using mobile phone in insufficient light
• The count of using mobile phone while walking
• The count of using mobile phone in a bumping vehicle

This feature is to help parents to set time limit on each app installed on Kid’s device.
