Protect your kids online with Trend Micro Home Network Security

This article helps you set up Profiles and configure protection for your kids.

Add a Profile

1. On your mobile device, open the Home Network Security app.
2. Tap the Menu icon, then choose Family.
3. Tap Add Someone.
4. Provide a Profile name, choose a picture, then tap Next.
5. Select your kid's devices to include on the Profile, then tap Done.

Website Filtering

With this feature, you can filter and restrict access to certain websites.

1. Tap Filtering.
2. Under the WEBSITE category, turn ON:
   • Get Notifications to get notified whenever your kids visit a restricted website
   • Block to block access to specific websites
3. Select the age level of your family member.
4. You can also allow or block specific websites. To add, tap Set Exceptions.

Content Filtering

With this feature, you can filter and restrict access to specific content.

1. Tap Filtering.
2. Under the WEBSITE category, turn ON:
   • Google SafeSearch to filter explicit search results
   • YouTube Restricted Mode to filter mature contents

   Wait for 5 minutes for the settings to take effect.

Inappropriate Apps Used Notification

With this feature, you can restrict access to specific mobile applications.

1. Turn ON Get Notifications to receive a notification whenever your kids open a restricted app.
2. Under App Category, choose the types of app you wish to restrict.
3. Tap the arrow icon located at the upper left corner to save the settings.

Time Limits

With this feature, you can limit your kids’ Internet usage.

1. Tap Add new rule.
2. Select your preferred days, then tap Next.
3. Set the number ALLOWED Internet hours, then enable the notification. Tap Next.
4. Set the period of ALLOWED Internet access.
5. Toggle the switch to ON for the Notifications.
6. Toggle the switch to ON for Block Internet Access. This will block Internet access outside the set period.
7. Tap Done.

NOTE: Certain websites could not be blocked because they are currently not supported by the app. Trend Micro is aware of this problem and is currently working to resolve it.
