Learn how to configure your router to disable Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS of router in your Home Network.


Disable WiFi Protected Setup

  1. Using your device, open a web browser, then log in to the Admin console of your home router.

    Different router manufacturers have different ways of logging in to the Router Admin Console. You may refer to your Router Manual for reference. The most common is: 192.168.1.1.

  2. Click Advance Setup, then select Wireless Settings.
  3. Under Wi-Fi Protected Setup settings, tick the Disable Router’s PIN.

    If your model does not have a Disable Routers PIN option, untick the Enable Router’s Pin box instead.

  4. Click Apply to save the settings.
