Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) helps devices access the network and connect to other devices easily. UPnP devices can discover other registered UPnP devices on the network.

Most UPnP doesn't use authentication, so malware program can use UPnP to compromise the security of your network. There are instances wherein you need to turn off UPnP. Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your device admin homepage. If you need assistance accessing the device admin homepage, contact your device manufacturer.

  2. Go to the Advance Settings page.
  3. Untick the UPnP checkbox.
