Password Manager for desktop includes the following modules which, when enabled, will cause the corresponding data to be transmitted to Trend Micro. Each of these modules can be disabled as shown below:
Default Collection
Password Manager v5.x automatically collects and transmits the following data, some of which may be considered personal data in certain jurisdictions, after installing/enabling the product. It is necessary to collect this data to provide the security functions on this product. Therefore, you cannot disable these features. If you do not want Trend Micro to access this data, you should uninstall and stop using the product.

When a user visits Password Manager’s main console, the browser extension UI, or the web portal, the Password Manager console URL and the client IP will be transmitted to the Trend Micro backend. If the user don’t want this data to collected, please don’t connect to Password Manager main console and uninstall the application from your device. |

You can disable any of these features at any time to prevent the corresponding data from being sent to Trend Micro.
Password recording / retrieval
DESCRIPTION |
This data is collected to improve usability and customer experience. When a user pulls up their password when visiting a website, Password Manager will transmit that website URL to the Trend Micro backend. To opt-out, the user should uncheck the Help make Password Manager better box in the Settings page prior to the above action. |
