When you join a Family Circle, you’re connecting with a trusted group that works together to spot scams early and stay safe online. Here’s what happens, how to set up your protection, and how your privacy is maintained.

What Happens When You Join

  • You’re instantly part of a trusted group that helps protect each other from scams.
  • ScamCheck begins monitoring for suspicious links, messages, or websites so the organizer can help guide you if needed.
  • Privacy first – Only scam-related risk summaries are shared. Your organizer will never see your private messages or personal data.

How to Set Up After Receiving an Invitation

  1. Install Trend Micro ScamCheck. You can also download Trend Micro ScamCheck here.
  2. Open the app and tap Enable AI Protection.
  3. Turn on all recommended safety features:
    • 📩 SMS Filter – Blocks scam texts.
    • 📞 Call Block – Stops dangerous calls.
    • 🌐 Web Guard – Protects against unsafe websites.

✅ Once complete, you’re fully protected and officially part of the Family Circle.

What Your Organizer Can See

  • 🔴 Potential scam alerts – when you interact with suspicious content.
  • 🟡 Not Installed – if the app hasn’t been installed yet.
  • 🟡 Setup Incomplete – if ScamCheck is installed but safety features aren’t enabled.

Important: Alerts only indicate safety status and scam risks – not your private conversations, browsing history, or personal files.

Why Joining Helps

Joining a Family Circle means you’re never alone in dealing with online scams. Your organizer and other members help detect risks early, share safety tips, and clear alerts when everything is fine.
