How Alerts Work
- Real-Time Notifications – Receive an alert the moment a family member encounters a suspicious link, message, or website.
- See Who’s at Risk – Alerts show exactly which member may be exposed.
- Share Protection – Invite others to join your Family Circle so they benefit from scam prevention too.
Types of Alerts and What They Mean
🔴 Potential Online Risks
- Member may have clicked suspicious links, visited risky sites, or encountered scams/phishing attempts.
Status icon: 🔴 beside the member’s name.
🟡 App Not Installed
- The member has not installed Trend Micro ScamCheck.
🟡 Setup Incomplete
- The member installed the app but hasn’t completed Family Circle setup (AI Protection, SMS Filter, Call Block, Web Guard not enabled).
How to Respond to Alerts
- Tap the Alert Notification – View details of the scam or risky activity detected.
- Share Advice – Use the share arrow 🔄 to send a pre-written safety message to the member.
- Mark as Safe – Once confirmed the situation is okay, tap Mark as Safe to clear the alert.
Other Scenarios and Quick Fixesh
- App Not Installed: Ask the member to download and install Trend Micro ScamCheck (Download here).
- Setup Incomplete: Remind the member to enable AI Protection, SMS Filter, Call Block, and Web Guard.
How to Know if a Member Is Safe
- If a member’s name appears in Family Circle without any status icons, they are fully set up and currently safe.
- NO red 🔴 or yellow 🟡 indicators means there are no risks detected for them right now.
