After installing Trend Micro Wi-Fi protection on your computer, you encountered this error message.
"Unable to contact Trend Micro. Please try again. Error Code: #403"
You may encounter this issue due to the following conditions:
- Time and Date is incorrect
- Corrupted Installation
Enable Automatic Date and Time
- On the bottom-right corner of the screen, right-click on the time, then select Adjust date/time.
- From the settings window, click Date & time, then select the box for Set Time Automatically.
Perform a clean reinstallation of the program
- From the start menu, right-click on the Trend Micro WiFi Protection, then select Uninstall. Click Uninstall again on the confirmation window.
- Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run console, then enter %programdata%/Trend Micro/
- Delete the TMPWP folder.
- Delete Temp Files.
- Delete Windows Temp files:
- Open the Run window, then type "temp".
- Press ENTER. The Windows Temp folder should open.
- Delete all the files inside the Temp folder.
- Delete Local User temporary files:
- Open the Run window, then type "%temp%".
- Press ENTER. The Windows Temp folder should open.
- Delete all the files inside the Temp folder.
- Delete Windows Temp files:
- Download and install the Trend Micro WiFi Protection app from the Microsoft Store.
