Trend Micro Mobile Security did not finish scanning your Android phone or tablet. It suddenly hangs or stops unexpectedly.

Why did this happen?

  • Your Android device is not connected to the Internet.
  • Your Android device might be full of cache files.

How do I fix this?

Fix your network connection

  1. Restart your WiFi or mobile data.
  2. If not resolved, connect to a different WiFi or switch to mobile data (3G, 4G, LTE, 5G).
  3. Run a scan again. If issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Clear app cache

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps or Applications. It will display the list of installed apps.
  3. From the list, tap Mobile Security, then tap Storage.
  4. Tap Clear Cache.
  5. Run a scan again. If issue persists, proceed to the next step.

Restart your Android device

  1. Press and hold the power button of your mobile device, then tap Restart.
  2. Run a scan again. If issue persists, reinstall the Mobile Security app.
