How to Restart Trend Micro Security
- Press the Windows and R keys on your keyboard simultaneously to open the Run window.
- In the Open field, type supporttool.exe, then click OK.
- Click Yes when the User Account Control Window appears to allow the program to make changes to your PC.
- The Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit will now open.
- Navigate to the (C) Uninstall tab.
- Select 5. Stop all components to halt all Trend Micro Security components.
- Wait for about 10 seconds or until the Trend Micro icon disappears from the taskbar notification area, indicating the components have fully stopped.
- To reactivate the protection, click on 4. Start all components within the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit window.
