When you search the web, the Page Safety Rating highlights (icons/labels) do not show next to search results. This occurs on Google, Bing, and Yahoo when using the Trend Micro Toolbar on Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

Why Did This Happen

There are possible changes on search engines that may be conflicting with our system, causing it to not work properly or behave unexpectedly.

What Should I Do Next

  • For Safari:
    • Our team has already fixed the issue.
    • Make sure that your Trend Micro Toolbar for Mac is up-to-date to fix the issue on your end.
  • For Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge:
    • Our team is currently working on a fix and expects to deploy it soon. In the meantime, you can still view page ratings by hovering your mouse over them.
    • To setup the Page Rating on Mouseover, follow these steps:
      1. From the upper-right corner of your browser, click the Trend Micro Toolbar Extension icon.
      2. Click three dots on top right corner and click Settings
      3. Under Web Threat Protection, enable Rate Link on Mouseover
    NOTE: Your web protection remains active even if highlights are not shown next to results. You can still see ratings via mouseover, and malicious pages will continue to be blocked.
