An issue has been identified where Trend Micro Security cannot be installed on computers with Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors.

During installation, you might see error codes like #1603, 3003, 0xe0120023. Don't worry — we have guidance to help you resolve it.

Why This Happens

This installation problem happens when the Intel® Total Storage Encryption feature is installed and turned on. This security feature can sometimes block Trend Micro Security from installing correctly.

How to Check if Intel® Total Storage Encryption is Active

  1. Right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager.
  2. In Device Manager, expand the System Devices section.
  3. Look for Intel® Total Storage Encryption in the list. If it's there, it means the feature is active and may be causing the installation issue.

How to Fix This

Good news! Microsoft has released a Windows update that fixes this installation issue. Running the latest Windows update will resolve the problem automatically.

  1. Run Windows Update.
