The Quarantine List displays files that seem to contain malicious software. You can delete, clean, or restore files on the list.

If Antivirus for Mac is unable to clean a file, it will quarantine it. Once quarantined, malicious software can do no harm.


Access the Quarantine List

  1. Open your Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac.
  2. Click the Scans, then do a scan.

  3. After finishing the scan, click Scan Results from the Log Type list, then click List Quarantined Files...

Delete Quarantined Files

  1. Click its name on the list.
  2. Click Delete.

Clean Quarantined Files

  1. Click its name on the list.
  2. Click Clean.

View Quarantined Files

  1. On the upper-right corner of your screen, Click the Antivirus for Mac icon.
    Select Open Trend Micro Antivirus for Mac....

  2. Click Logs, then on the Log Type dropdown list, select Scan Results.

  3. Click List Quarantined Files... at the bottom of the window.

Updates from Trend Micro allows Antivirus for Mac to remove malicious software that it cannot treat before. Always make sure you have the latest updates of your Antivirus for Mac.
