How to add device to protect with Trend Micro Maximum Security

Trend Micro Maximum Security lets you extend protection to other Windows PC/laptop and Macs, as well as Android and iOS mobile devices after installing on your first computer.

For laptop/desktop computers (Windows or Mac)
Protect another Windows or Mac device
- Open Trend Micro Maximum Security on your computer.
- Double-click the Trend Micro shortcut on your desktop.
- Double-click the Trend Micro icon from the system tray.
- Click Protect Another Device on the main program window.
- Click Add a device.
- Click Windows or Mac
- Select how you want to install the program:
Send email
- Type the email address you want to receive the link to download the program, then click Send.
- Go to your other computer, then open your email.
- Click the download link from the email you received.
Copy link
- Click Copy link.
- Open a browser, paste the link in the address bar, and then press ENTER.
Download
- Click Download, then choose a folder on where to save the file. Click OK.
- Double-click the downloaded installer file.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
- Fill out the account information to activate your protection.
For mobile devices (Android or Apple)
Protect another Android or iOS device
- Open Trend Micro Maximum Security on your comptuer.
- Double-click the Trend Micro shortcut on your desktop.
- Double-click the Trend Micro icon from the system tray.
- Click Protect Another Device on the main program window.
- Click Add a device.
- Click Android or iOS
- Select how you want to install the app:
Send email
- Type the email address you want to receive the link to install the app, then click Send.
- Open your email on your mobile device.
- Click the link from the email you received.
Copy link
- Click Copy link.
- Send the link using an instant messaging app to your mobile device.
- Click the link.
Scan QR Code
- Scan the QR code using any QR code scanner installed on your mobile device.
- Tap Open Link.
- Tap Install.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
- Open the Mobile Security app to activate your Android or iOS protection.
