Trend Micro Home Network Security serves as a protective barrier when linked to your router, safeguarding your network and devices from potential threats.
During the initial setup, Home Network Security automatically determines the appropriate Station Mode for your router. Only switch the mode if you encounter connectivity issues.
What is Station Mode 1?
Station Mode 1 employs the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) to direct network traffic from all connected devices and the gateway through the Trend Micro Home Network Security Station. This mode is generally compatible with most routers.
Steps to Configure Station Mode 1
- Launch the Home Network Security app on your mobile device.
- Tap the Menu icon in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
- Under the STATION section, tap Station Configuration.
- Choose Mode 1 under STATION NETWORK SETTINGS.
- Tap OK to apply the new settings.
- Wait for approximately 5 minutes. Tap Test Status to verify the connectivity status.
- Tap Test This Device to confirm the changes.
Ensure that your device and the Home Network Security Station are connected to the same network.
