The Client Key in Trend Micro ID Protection is a secure, unique license key for your account. It is used together with your Trend Micro Account password when setting up the Password Vault on a new device.

When Is a Client Key Used?
- When setting up the Vault feature on a new device.
- When verifying the account owner during initial vault setup or device transfer.
Keep It Safe
- Your Client Key is unique and Trend Micro does not keep a copy.
- Do not share your Client Key with anyone.
- Store it somewhere secure so you can find it when needed.
