Looking for your Client Key to set up the Vault feature in Trend Micro ID Protection on another device? Follow the instructions below for mobile or desktop.
On Your Mobile Device
- During initial Vault Setup:
- ID Protection prompts you to save your Client Key during setup. It is saved in your device's default photo album.
- Open Photos/Gallery and locate the saved Client Key image.
- Using the Mobile App:
- Open the ID Protection app.
- Type your Trend Micro Account Password, then tap Unlock. This will open your Password Vault.
- Tap the 💼 suitcase icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Client Key.
- You can now see your Client Key. Tap Save to your photos to get a copy.
On Your Desktop
- During initial Vault Setup:
- ID Protection prompts you to save your Client Key as a PDF file during setup. It is saved to your PC's default Downloads folder.
- Open your Downloads folder, find the file named "ID Protection client key *****".
- Alternatively, check your browser’s Downloads list to know where the file was saved.
- On Your Web Browser:
- Go to the ID Protection web portal at https://idprotect.trendmicro.com.
- Select the Vault icon.
- Type your Trend Micro Account Password, then tap Unlock. This will open your Password Vault.
- Click the Download Client Key icon on the top-right corner. It is the third icon beside the "Download the ID Protection app" icon.
- You can now see your Client Key. Click Save as PDF to get a copy.
Keep It Safe
Your Client Key is unique and we do not keep a copy. You will need it to set up your Vault on new devices. Do not share it with anyone.
